Women Innovators creates opportunities for girls and young women to discover their potential in STEM through workshops, events and mentorship programs.
The Challenge
Women Innovators hosts workshops and career days that introduce middle and high school girls to STEM careers. The organization was gaining momentum with sponsors and donors, but its WordPress site didn't reflect that growth.
It was cluttered, outdated, and hard to manage, and it didn't communicate the mission well. They needed a professional site that sponsors could trust and that a rotating volunteer team could update without worry.
The Solution
I redesigned the site on Squarespace, a platform simple enough for new board members or a college intern to pick up. I migrated the existing content across about 11 pages, cleared out outdated sponsor information, and rewrote the copy so the mission and flagship programs, SHE Tech and Tech Girls, take center stage.
Navigation makes it easy for students, parents, educators, and sponsors to find what they need and connect. Donation and contact buttons link to the organization's existing forms, so there's nothing complicated to maintain. I also created training videos so future team members can learn the basics on their own.
The Result
Women Innovators now has a clean, modern site that looks as established as the organization is. The full migration from WordPress went smoothly, and the project stayed on the original timeline with no surprises.
The team regularly receives compliments on the new site, and the training videos and easy-to-use platform mean the next person to take over can step in with confidence.
